In short, the Party Walls Act establishes a framework for the prevention and resolution of disputes over party walls, border walls and excavations near nearby buildings. The legislation contains definitions of what these things are, what you are allowed to do as a landowner with respect to construction work and what action to take with respect to the law, both as a person`s building and as a person involved in the project.
